In this tutorial you will learn how to make a night vision potion in Minecraft.

Minecraft Night Vision Potion is a potion with positive effects that allows you to see clearly in the dark and underwater when you are drunk.

There are two types of night vision drinks, 3:00 (which lasts 3 minutes) and 8:00 (which lasts 8 minutes). We’ll show you how to do both below.

Required For Making A Night Vision Potion

• 1 Nether wart
• 1 Golden carrot
• 1 Water bottle
• 1 Blaze powder
• 1 Redstone dust (Only needed if making the potion of night vision (8:00))

Steps To Make A Night Vision Potion

Step 1. Open Your Brewing Stand Menu

To create the Night Vision Potion (3:00) in Minecraft, we first open the menu of your prep station. You should see the same menu as the image below.

Step 2. Add The Brewing Ingredients To The Menu

In the brew menu, add the fire powder to the box on the far left. This will activate your way station.

Then add the water bottle to one of the 3 pockets at the bottom. You can make a total of three night vision potions at once by filling the bottom three boxes with water bottles.

Then add the bottom wart to the top box

The drink starts to brew. You will notice that the arrow to the right of the lower wart begins to fill in white to indicate its progress. When you’re done, the lower wart will disappear and an uncomfortable potion will appear.

Then add the golden carrot to the top box.

The potion starts to brew again. You’ll notice that the arrow to the right of the golden carrot begins to fill with white to indicate progress. Once it’s completely filled, your new Night Vision Potion will appear (3:00).

Tip: You can mouse over the potion on the brew stand to see its name and its effects.

Step 3. (Optional) Extend The Time Length Of Your Night Vision Potion

After setting the Night Vision Potion (3:00), which lasts 3 minutes, you can increase the time to 8 minutes.

With your brew stand open, simply add your newly made Night Vision Potion to one of the bottom boxes and add Redstone powder to the top box.

The drink starts to brew. You’ll notice that the arrow to the right of the Redstone dust begins to fill with white. Once it’s completely full, your new Night Vision Potion (8:00) will appear.

And that is! You now have a drink of night vision (8:00)! Minecraft Night Vision Potion is a potion with positive effects that allows you to see clearly in the dark and underwater when you are drunk. This is useful for exploring the abyss and searching underwater (e.g. a sunken ship)
