• 1 Coal or charcoal
• 1 Stick

Steps To Craft A Torch

1. Open Your Crafting Menu

First, let’s open your artboard in Minecraft. You should see the same grid as in the image below.

2. Add The Coal Or Charcoal And Stick To The Menu

Add the charcoal or charcoal to the craft table and stick it on the rack. You only need 1 charcoal or 1 charcoal to make a torch. You do NOT need both.

You need to add the items to the crafting grid exactly as shown in the image below. In the first row, place the charcoal or charcoal in the middle compartment. In the second row, place the stick in the middle box. That is! This is the recipe for the Minecraft torch.

Now that you’ve added the items to the crafting grid as described above, you’ll notice 4 torches appear in the box on the right.

3. Move The Torches To Your Inventory

Finally, you need to drag the torches to your inventory to use them.

You now have 4 torches. A Minecraft flashlight is a non-solid block that emits light. They can also be used as a crafting ingredient to make a flashlight, flashlight, underwater torch, and different colored torches.
